I don’t think I hear a difference, but I feel a difference? Wireless

Maybe I’m just old school….I am old. Got a Line 6 Relay for fun. Yeah, the freedom of not messing with a cord or tripping one one is nice, but my brain says you need a direct connection to the guitar and amp that I can visibly see to complete the cosmic chain. I don’t really hear a difference, but it feels weird, like playing naked in front of people or something.

Anyone else feel a weird disconnection when playing wireless? I do have a lot of cool looking cords, Ernie Ball tweed neon green and black, Fender tweed and black, white curly, glow in the dark..etc.

Ugh, I now weigh 35lbs. less than this pic.

I’ve got a Shure GLX D16. I think it sounds as good or maybe even better than my old chord. I do not notice a change in feel or tone. I love my wireless and would have a hard time going back to a chord.

Been playing wireless live forever. Had a LectroSonics in the 80s. Nady in the 90s. Shure in the 2000-2010s.

They all sucked. The 'companding' to overcome noise wrecks guitar tone and feel.

My Relay G90 is as good or better than a wire IMO.
