I had never really explored this channel too much, but man, it's cool.

I wanted to play some Zappa - "Watermelon in Easter Hay".

I figured, "he didn't use very much gain on that tune, let's try VX B."

Holy shit, it's freakin' awesome. It has more than enough gain for Zappa, plus it sounds great with loads of reverb, EQ, delay, modulation, flanging etc.

The TC 1128 Equalizer can coax almost any sound out of anything though

Welcome to the VX side  Yeah, the VX B is kind of a hidden gem I think. Lots of people talk about the VX module in the context of shimmering cleans, etc., but the B channel can kick some serious ass! You can even get into Brian May territory with it

I LOVE the VX. It's one of my favorite (top 2, probably) modules. I personally don't hear "shimmering" in the clean tones...more "jangly" and "crunchy", even, with a bit of gain. But the B channel has that great singing lead tone that also cuts through great.

I really love my T/V module - the clean sounds are about as chimey as I've ever heard. Also, it comes the closest to a SS clean as possible, Roland JC120-like with a bit of chorus.
