What’s the most agressive one to try out . I always wanted to try one though many say to smooth for me . But who knows . But ya I have no idea what a Friedman head wound be like

Be 100 Deluxe has the most gain and the response switch adds some extra cut as does the C45 mod, but the JEL is voiced with a little more aggression from my experience. I have had had both and still have the Jel . JJ has lots of gain too, but it is darker. Shameless plug..... My JEL with matching cab is in the classifieds for 1400.00 which is crazy good price if you are interested. I just bought an Uber Ultra and an Astro 20 and need to recoup funds.

With the amps you have I don't think you'd need one, but the most aggressive and raw one I played was definitely the early Marsha I had (no longer made). Of the current made ones probably either the Butterslax or BE 50 Deluxe. The JEL I found is a lot brighter and more open, but still about as smooth as their other models. Maybe the new Jose model will be more aggressive hopefully

The BE100 deluxe.
Played one. And while I'm not.. really a friedman person.. It was fun to play had a good feel. Had a smooth yet aggressive midrange, like it's not grainy gain to my ears. I wanked on it for 30 minutes or so. I thought it sounded good. Not $4,000 good though.
But that part shouldn't be a problem for you

I thought the BE deluxe was too dark/smooth.
The Steve Steven’s v2 is the most aggressive Friedman I’ve owned/played. I’d imagine the Plex might have a more raw/aggressive voice but lack the same level of gain. I’m looking forward to checking out the new Arredondo amp… as the clips I’ve heard sound really good

The Jose was way less smooth than the other ones I’ve tried- that’s the one I’d go for

His newest Jose by a long mile. I’d like one over a CCV. It’s jam packed with diode clipping features.
