Hi Everyone,

I just bought via Reverb a used vh4.
I had one before from 2005 to 2012 and this one sound as the one i had before.

What is weird is the face, it’s grey no light grey or blue.
I have seen blue face vh4, light grey face but not that grey.

On top of it there is potentiometer which has nothing to do there....i keep moving it : nothing happened
The seller doesn’t know anything about it (he had it about a year).
Just by curiosity, i wanted to know if you knew anything about this ? Is this a special one ? Maybe Peter could know with the serial ?

Lots of buzz and some switch do not work really well, so it will anyway go to a tech..

Thanks in advance for your help..

From the serial # it looks like a 2002 model.

I had the same "silver face" front panel on my old 2001 VH4.
The green led's & power switch indicate that someone has done some aftermarket mods. I doubt it left the factory like that.

The pot quite certainly is a second master. God knows how to activate this.
The green leds are fugly.

I'm guessing it's MIDI activated - lawdy knows what sequence...

The green
Someone *actually* went through all that trouble to replace the reds with "green".

I'm just kinda speechless.

Well, i don’t think that someone went to customize and changing the red buttons/lights to green... :D
Anyway i just left the head to a tech to change the tubes and he will call Peter about this pot :)

Smart move.

It may come in handy - second master and all - and so long as NOTHING else has been tampered with - you got yourself a kickass mega monolithic beast of an amp there Bro.

VH4 - the GrandPooBah of all things Diezel
