I picked up one of the new Heritage Custom Core H150 GOLD-TOPS from Sweetwater this weekend!!!

They were running an incredible offer where you get a FREE MONO VERTIGO GIG BAG ($350) with the purchase of most new Heritage Guitars!!!

I know, I already have 3 Custom Cores. Why get another one? Because they are incredibly awesome guitars!!!

The gold they used is a deep vintage tint of gold…looks absolutely beautiful!

I like the GT CCs especially because they have a natural body finish that really shows the grain of the mahogany. This one has a beautiful one piece body.

The neck is a beefy 50s carve. It weighs in at 8 lbs, 10ozs. The fretboard is very dark and reminiscent of Brazilian (I know it’s not, but…).

The only things I’ve done so far, I put a Gibson style pickguard and poker chip on it. And replaced the gold bell knobs with gold speed knobs.

The stock Heritage 225 Parsons street pickups sound pretty good in this one. I might keep ‘em? They are a bit on the bright side. I’ve pulled them from my other 3 CCs because I thought they were overly bright.

Heritage PLEKs all their guitars now, so it sets up magnificently. Plays as good as any other Custom Core I’ve played. They are very consistent!!! Great fit n finish.

What kind of Mahogany do they use for the bodies? The wood grain in looks looks really nice and interesting!

Love the new gold top! The inlay on the headstock does wonders for that guitar. Where do you get the pickguard from? I'd love to get one of those on my h150.

They are sourcing, some lightweight mahogany for these custom core guitars. I don’t know what or where their source is though.

Thanks man! I ordered that pickguard off of Reverb. I believe it is just an all parts pickguard

Damn man, I own 10x as many guitars as in your picture yet my collection is probably worth less than yours :ROFLMAO:

I love the gold top. I look at them all the time myself, it's just such an awesome look. I actually like it more than the other ones you have even if the figured wood is technically the more expensive/desirable style.

Believe it or not, I actually only have 15 guitars

Quality over Quantity. Something I am trying to work on myself. I have a bad habit of seeing something in the $500-600 range and saying "oh, that's a good deal" and then I get it and it's just average and it goes into its case for a few years. It comes from a time when $500 was about as much as I could possibly swing for a guitar so my mind is still in that mode... buy something "decent" and then just live with its flaws. I've been making a big push lately to narrow it down to 15, but 15 really good ones that make me excited to play.
