I LOVE my 20th Shiva, but I want some 6L6 action!

Hey guys, I have two amazing EL34 British style amps at home, my 20th Shiva and PWE Event Horizon. For me, being mostly a home player, I prefer amps that sound VERY good at home at bedroom volumes, luckily my amps still slay with the bands I am in as well, but we only gig like 2-4 times a year and practice once in a while so my amps see a lot of home use!

With that said, I am trying to find an equivalent to my amps in that it works well at home volumes. I was close to buying a Mesa Electradyne or older Rectoverb but neither works well at home volumes.

Any others you can all think of? I want something very different from my amps, two channel, maybe even single channel because I am trying to get away from the high gain multi channel thing. Preferrably a 6L6 amp.

Thoughts?

Good luck, one 6l6 in class a is about 10-12watts and since 6l6 are not a real good tube for cranking for overdrive and lacks crunch like a el84 amp,i dont like your chances under 50watt amp.
Now 6v6 tubes are similar in the highs, and the tube store reviews the sound of all these different tubes and brands, theres a big difference in the brands.
A el84 amp should be 18-20 watts a pair, crank those up into overdrive and crunch badass all day.
Fender has some 6v6 amps, glassy highs like 6l6 but breakup nice when pushed.
Besides a 6l6 is a beam power tube known for cleaner sound is kinda steril ,hifi like and loud as it gets !
A 100watt tube amp is only louder than a 50watt amp by about 4db ,so a smaller powertube is what you need!
6v6 are about 12watts apiece!

If you could find an Ecstasy 100a, you might really like it. I think the Shiva with 6L6s is great.

Get a Randall MTS 100 now that the line is dead you can find the heads cheap. Stock with 6l6's pull the fuses for the 2 outer tubes and there you have it a pair of 6l6's in a head with tons of module options.
