I recently picked up a pine strat body so I put this together with parts I had. I think it turned out great.

You can see in one of the pics that I added some Wago connectors and a grounding lug so I can change pickguards without soldering.

Here are the specs:

Body - Fender American Pro II
Body material - Roasted Pine
Neck - Warmoth Maple Rosewood (vintage modern)
Neck Profile - 59 roundback
Neck Radius - 12"
Frets - Jescar 57110 stainless steel
Tuners - Hipshot Open Gear Locking, staggered
Nut - Graphtech
Pickguard - Warmoth
Strap Buttons - Dunlop Dual Design Straplok
Pickups - Dimarzio Dominion set
Electronics - Master Volume, Master Tone, 3 way blade selector
Bridge - Gotoh 510

The body is really light. I did not weigh it but seller stated 3 pounds and 7 ounces. Sustains great, very, very resonant.

I've been wanting to try a pine bodied guitar. Any chance of audio or video?

I will see what I can do. First, I still need to do a total setup. I basically eyeballed intonation and saddle height with the bridge. Thew bridge and body were brand new. So I need to adjust all that and fine tune the action and stuff like that. But, I will try to do something even though it is intimidating posting anything on this forum with all the great players here.

Nonsense. There are very few great players here. The word great is truly overused. I like when people post clips of simple chords, and then the same chords with OD. Frankly, to hear someones show off VH/Ratt/obscure 80's fuckboy band riff covers over an insanely over chorused/reverbed riff means nothing to me as they rarely take the time to get it right anyway.

I'm really digging that Grounding Button - looks like you can insert ground wires and clamp / screw them down? Any more info on this part greatly appreciated.

Same, really interested in that - seems like a long overdue idea/product

Pine is underrated. I think its because its gummy that some sellers dont carry it. I love it. I'm building a pinecaster right now but painting it is taking forever.

I'm also going to shield it but just the control cavity. That shielding you have looks great but I've heard mixed opinions on shielding the pickup cavities.

How’s that ‘59 profile neck from Warmoth? I just ordered one today and have never played one.

The 59 profile is great , IMO. I have average size hands and the 59 fits the curve of my hand in a very natural feeling. It is not a thin neck but does not feel super fat. It just rests naturally in my hand with a just right thickness feel.

Lynch is playing a Partscaster like that right now..
