I need advice/help with the voodoo labs ground control and gcx switcher setup?

i bought a used gcx that is from 2020 has version 2.02 on it .the ground control is 2010 with version1.13 on it .
Im using it only to turn on the loops for some effects processors.here is how i have it setup so far,im sure im missing something?

1. ) Press both SETUP buttons to enter setup mode.
2. ) Press EXPANDERS.
3. ) Press YES/+ to turn on GCX-1.
4. Pressed cursor and is setup as normal jack for loops used

4.) Press either SETUP button to see "EXIT Y/N" then press yes
Turn off ground control and gcx and re power up

I do not get the active light to stay lit up or any of the loops ?
