I need another VH4............

I got a Eventide Eclipse and it sounds great through my VH4. However, no matter how I set up the FX loop or setup the bypass function it kills some dynamic from the amp. FX loops are tone suckers. Don't get me wrong the Eventide is awesome. The eventide sucks less dynamic than a TC-Gforce; and I have one of those too. I want effects but I don't want to lose my dry sound either. So I guess that means I have to buy another VH4 so I can have both. I'll just switch them using my GCX and hopefully not get huge amounts of feed back. Has anyone used a GCX for this purpose?
 
Have you tried using the Eventide in the parallel loop and switch it in with the Send 2. I do that with my Intellifex and have great results. You won't be able to use some effects that require a serial loop but that didn't bother me because I only need some Delay, Reverb and Chorus.
 
W/D/W setup, get a good poweramp and run a line out to the effects then into the poweramp.

Will be cheaper, and sound massive.

WOW...thats good advice. I think i'll try that. My buddy is selling a 2:90 for hella cheap. :rock:
