I'm sure this has been discussed before but I'm falling in love with my Rebel 30 head. So much so that I'm willing to lose a module from my main rig and replace it with an RBL module. So Bruce or Jeff, could it be done?? Or is the power section of the Rebel series really where the majority of the tone's at ??

Actually, I love 'em both. It would be really cool, and make sense, if ch1 of the head could be A on the module, and ch2 could be B.

If I had to pick only one, I'd say B.

Can't do clean and dirty in the same module. So dirty it is and I will take a look at it!

That would actually be pretty awesome, i'd be all over one of those.

Jeff, did you get my PM the other modded module idea? (sorry to hijack)

I have to agree. I would love a RBL module. I have been wailing on my Rebel 30 head for a couple of weeks since I got one. It sounds great and would be a nice compliment to the modular line up.

How about RBL 20 in the A channel and 30 in the B.

Isnt the module going to cost almost the same as the amp itself?

Stop squashing all our fun, MATT!!!!!!!!!! :gethim: :gethim:

I'd LOVE a Renegade Clean channel module. That renegade clean is incredible...

Matt brings up a good point actually. I thought about using a loop and sending to the input of the R30 head, and using the R30 send back to the return of a loop. Problem with that is, that's bringing more shit, and I'm outta loops. My main rig is rack, big cab, and pedalboard. My small rig is R30 Head, small cab, and TC Nova. So an RBL module would allow me to have those small rig tones with the main rig. Unless there's a module already that will come close to the Rebel tones..

Which current module do you guys think is closest to the Rebel tone? I listened to the new clips that Jeff put up and wow, the COD clip has me real close to ordering it.

Cause I have a Mod50 RMod100 M4/RT2/50 and a Mesa MKIII.... I'd rather have module and not another amp...unless they come out with little head like the RM20 (EG20 :D ) for a dual channel module.

Module is what $400? Head is about $800, so basically no it's half as much right?

I was kinda joking. I know the module will be cheaper...slightly. I thought the Rebel head was $500?

The Rebel-20 head is $500, but the Rebel-30 head is about $800.

I'd say from the current modules it would probably be SLX. I don't think the SL module has enough gain to really cover the Rebel territory. That being said, the profile of the SLX and Rebel are very different. I have a MOD50/M4 and Gino has a Rebel and none of my modules really sound quite like the Rebel. It's just very raw/aggressive sounding. It's a great little amp that's for sure.

Figures, I was just going to put my SL & SL2 back up for sale. I just can't bond with them. I've got two VX's now that are both making me very happy.

Anyone want to trade an SL or SL2 for a COD or EG5 ???

Klark, do you have the SL2 or the SL2x?

If you like the vox, chances are you'd bond with the SL2x better than the SL2 or SL.
