I think it's great. Things seem to have gotten particularly caustic with the political stuff in the last year or two, and I'm glad to see something being done about it. Not everyone is able to discuss current affairs without politicizing, then spiraling down into the partisan name calling. There are plenty of other places on the internet for those discussions that don't include a forum where it's explicitly forbidden. We all agreed to the rules of the forum when we joined, but not everyone honors their own word, and they're the same ones who don't respect the site admin and are outright abusive towards other members even in the gear threads. Nicolas gave a final warning and said the bans would be next, and he wasn't bluffing. Kudos.
 
I don't care what people post, as long as it is confined to the off-topic forum. The paradox in logic is actually quite funny. Shake your head funny, not humorous.
