I thought George played Randalls..

He was with Randall just long enough to get a signature model, that’s about it.
 
I always heard that he used the Randalls up to and for recording Tooth and Nail and after they got popular he used Marshalls after that and he still runs Marshall today.

I guess Tesla also was a big user of Randalls early on as well.
 
Sounds like Tooth and Nail only to me. Saw that tour, no idea what he used.
 
There's a youtube video where George talks about helping design the original RG100es. They basically made a SS clone of one of his Jose modded Marshalls. Pretty cool vid if you can still find it.
 
I had an RG120. It was my 1st real Amp.. My moma bought it for me.. LOL
I didn't own anything with a Tube in it until I was 22-23 and it was an ADA MP-1 with a Crate Solid State Power Amp.. LOL
 
I think he was past the Randall phase on the BFTA album and tour and most likely the ULAK album and tour also , at least for the time being . I think he used the Randall on the Tooth and Nail album. I saw them in 83, 84, 86 and 88 and I don’t remember any Randalls visible . Found some pics though from the Tooth and Nail era so possibly I wasn’t looking close enough on that tour

When they opened for Kiss, Randall stacks. Next time I saw them, wall of Marshalls. Randall RG users afaik were Lynch, The Edge, Def Leppard and 'maybe' Vivian Campbell....those are what I remember.
 
George supposedly had the SIR #39 out on tour when GnR went to record AFD, which is why the #36 was modded.
 
The only people who put their name on more stuff is KISS.

i like the random Laney in there lol. he dosent seem to picky even these days, ive seen him with 3 or 4 different amps lately

The RGs were pretty good sounding. Very Marshall-y.

In the BFTA he used a plexi...you can see them in the video...

Randall was in the T&N era...and later in the clinics in the 2000s...
