I’ve long sought the Texas Special, it’s a limited edition Prestige built by J Custom for Guitar Center Texas, 3 colors, 12 of each, ebony fretboards, no tree of life, bad ass.

The old J Custom RG10 with ebony fretboard and no tree of life was also extremely bad ass. Also made in very small numbers.

Rick Graham managed to score one of each over the past 7 or 8 years. Lucky.

Last but not least, the J Custom S Series from late 90s. Some had ebony boards and no tree of life. Also extremely bad ass.

First two guitars Rick plays, just awesome!!

Here are some pics, anyone have any of these?!?’

The J Custom USRG10 That was Hartail was my Favorite Ibanez ever. I worked like a dog to save money for one once when i was a teenager & the guitar was actually stolen from my local store about 2 weeks before i could pay half of it as a layaway. They never got that guitar back as far as i know.

I have this one which will be for sale soon with great reluctance...... I just sold off my other 2 J-Customs.
This one is a Sugi built J-Custom and it is a complete step above the regular J Customs. The build quality and tone on this is absolutely meticulous!

Only reason for the sale is that I have moved on to something else that I have wanted for a long time.

I don’t own any but back in the day got to play almost the majority of the entire J-Custom line as it existed in August of 2000; my buddy Kevan had almost all of them, he might have had all of them at one point, as he desperately tried to get his hands on the RG-EGYPT. He finally got it then almost immediately sold the collection. Haven’t spoken to him in a while, he’s the same dude that came up with the Tremel-No.

He used to bring a lot of good stuff to Jemfest back in the day. Loved the ART.

I've still got an HRG4-BX, I think only 15 were made.

Man, so bummed I never made it down here for those back in the day!

Hahaha and despite having all those J-Customs to play, I spent the majority of the night drooling all over his JEM10, which is my Holy Grail/White Whale.

'04 4-knob with honduran mahagony body. Hemispherical fret ends are just perfect
