Ibanez Jem FP77 landed

Dammit, now I want to go home and plug it in. First two digits in the SN is 99, so I'm guessing it's a... 1999 model. Has the old style neck plate, plays pretty well so far, but I haven't tweaked it yet. Feels like .010s on it... guitar is getting a complete setup tonight and getting gigged on friday. Guitar is in really nice shape, a few minor bumps here and there but nothing horrible. Missing the trem bar (dammit) but I'll just rob one from another guitar. This makes 5 Ibanez guitars I own (570. 570, 560, 520 quilt, this Jem) - somehow they multiply. I think I need another selloff soon.

Congrats for the new axe, Pete!

Yes, if the two first digits in the serial number are 99 then it was made in 1999. Jem77FPs only have the old style neckjoints so no all-access neckjoints on them.

Thanks! I always wanted one of these... I nearly bought one back in '93 for $700, but it was in pretty beat shape. I should have picked it up. I just have a thing about paying too much for a japanese guitar, but I bought it used, so if I just hate the thing then I'll get my money back.

I like it so far though... and I'd be much more likely to buy another one than a Caparison. :D

Saturday is recovery in the morning/afternoon, poker game that night. Maybe sunday?
