How much should I expect to pay for a used rg550xx in desert yellow. All original, good condition, original(yellow) case and all that jazz?

DYs tend to bring in a touch more. Depending on what "good" condition means, anywhere from $800 - $1K, in my estimation.

I bought one a couple of months back from a gentleman in the US shipped to Canada. The guitar was practically new, unplayed. I paid 1080$ shipping included. Add Canadian taxes and probably brokerage fees to that if you get it shipped UPS/FedEx.

How about with these dings and finish cracks?

I'd give him $250 and a tip: treat your gear better and next time you'll do better on the re-sale! :D

  harsh....

Actually, I think the pics are making it worse than it actually is. The neck pocket crack is typical, this one is a little worse than typical though. It actually looks like it might be more than just a finish crack. The spider webbing on the horn doesn't look great and chips happen. I'd be somewhere around where 'race' quoted, $500 or so (if that is truly just a finish crack at the neck joint). I wouldn't consider this "good" condition either.

Rob, "I'd give him $250 and a tip: treat your gear better and next time you'll do better on the re-sale!" you were a little hard on the Beaver last night. ;D

Ah, just jokes.

I actually would consider the guitar to be in "good" condition. It certainly isn't in "very good", "excellent" or "mint" condition. But as the blemishes are fairly isolated, it's in better than "fair" condition.

I think $500 IS the appropriate price point.

The Beaver?!

You're probably right, it's in "good" condition. I always underrate my own gear. Most people that receive gear from me say something along the lines of "it's way better than you described" etc.

Beaver? Bad reference to the 50's TV Show Leave It To Beaver. Maybe you're too young... or too Canadian. LOL   :D

Oh no, we were able to get Leave It To Beaver up here in Canada. We just needed to increase the signal strength by tying a few pop cans to our.....
