Greetings! New to the forum and new to Egnater! I just recently put a down payment on a Renegade head here in Columbia Missouri at the Blue Guitar.
I thought I'd drop in and make my presence known and see if there were any tips/issues/concerns/praises w/ the amps.
I know it's a little too late to get info on "issues." with the amp (if there is any) since I put the money down. But I have no doubt it couldn't be any more of a risk than say.....any newer Marshall amp that's out there!
I've been able to mess around w/ the amp quite a bit in the shop I'm getting the amp from. However haven't been able to crank it up to the heavy levels I would be typically using it for!
I'm really looking for a more tight and saturated type amp to compliment the heavy mids from my Marshalls. Then discovered I could get away w/ surf tones from the Egnater AND a great heavy tone from the amp at the same time. I'm also in love w/ the power tube mix. I can't tell you how much I've wanted to mod my Marshall's to 6550's or KT77's to get more of a 6l6, yet keep the el34 grind.
So far, so good! Anyone using the Renegade in a "heavy" music style?
