Anyone hear the Indoor Storm shop demos? They did a GREAT job doing all those demos for everyone....

But, does anyone notice all the high gain tones sound similar or almost the same in many cases as if just a few little EQ tweaks? I don't hear any big differences, but I always do in person comparing modules. I just found that interesting.

Eddie is a great guy and one of the best in the biz, but if Im being honest I dont think the high gain modules were demoed properly. Hes obviously a great player and his style showcased the clean and lower gain modules very very nicely, but a few chords and bluesy licks is not really what I would play to show off the MHG and E-Rect. Not trying to hate on him at all because like I said, hes one of the very tops in the industry for customer service and is an all around very nice guy. (I got my MOD 50 and 2 Suhrs from him).

I think Eric's EG5 demos are better.

Just keeping it real.

I totally agree with you here on this one Matt. That was my issues with his demos, as for MHG / Erect / EG5 types of stuff, I wanted to hear some big fat chords, higher gain, etc. Now that I am back from a big amount of travel overseas, I'm gonna work on a page on my website that houses different demos for all the modules I have. I'd like to get good demos for all modules, so for any of the modules I don't have, I would be willing to do demos for them if someone would let me borrow them for a couple weeks :). (Like the EG3/4, E-rect, T/D, Bassman, etc). That way you can hear a consistent demo of the modules, in a way that I think they should be demo'ed in :).

Does that sound good to you all??

Eric

Well I'm pretty sure the eq, gain, and volume settings were static through all of the demos. That and the guitars he used. That Atom is pretty nice. I wish they could have upped the volume a bit, but yeah overall very good demos. They were my point of reference and ultimately what led me to ordering my M4.

You're right though, the way he has them dialed in they sound pretty similar. When I get mine I'll be making a series of shootout videos with another guitarist and his rig. I'll post something on this forum when that happens.

Maybe the modules sound more similar through the head rather than using the M4 and a power amp where you can change power tubes to accomodate the preamp?

I agree, I could see the opposite problem happening if I had to demo clean channels and country tunes.

Oh yeah, and Eric's clips of the eg5 are killer! It's what led me to want to get one, but it works better in his hands than mine

Maybe sorta, but to me I identified with it more this way. I tend to start dialing in amps and modules to sound like me and then they all start sounding they I want to sound. Eddie is an experienced player and he sounds like Eddie (similar tone) through each of them. Bluntly put, he's not a metal or a heavy player which suits me fine but I think you guys are wishing you could watch someone go BFN on it.
