Installing 6550's in my VH-4...what internal switch setting?

The VH-4 has the "6L6" and "EL34" switch on this inside, which one do I set the toggle to when installing 6550's?

And while we are on the subject... what the hell does that switch to anyway? The Herbert can take all kinds of power tubes without needing to have any switches changed... was just curious what the function of this was... thanks fellas..!!

Also, anyone wanna trade a quad of like-new JJ EL34's for a Quad of 6550's?

The switch changes the range of the Bias pot.
Set it to 6L6.
