Installing a Bill&Becky 500XL

Anybody done this? I'm swapping pups but I lost the instructions to it.
I know the red lead goes to the vol pot, there is a black and clear lead as well. It is going into a gibby V, and as far as I can tell I can just solder the other leads onto the pot because there is other wiring in the guitar already set up for pup switching etc. Sound right?

How many wires? I think it should be like this:

Red - Hot Output
White + Green - Soldered Together
Black + Bare - Ground

From what I've seen on the Inet that is what the BLUSA guys have for wires. the "real" bill lawrence ones I have only have red, black and clear.

I just found my other guitar with the pup in it done by another tech. He put red to terminal, soldered one to pot and clipped the other. He stripped the non reds so I dont know what they were. I 'll try red terminal and solder the other two to the pot. It should work

This pickup was not as good as I had hoped when I tried it. It was my first attempt at moving away from actives to passives.

It seemed a bit underpowered at the time.
