Interaction between Ch1 mode 3 and Ch2 on the Einstein?

it's weird, but when I'm playing in ch2 and the switch in ch1 is set to mode 3, ch2 is WAY more tight...... If the switch is in mode 1 position, then ch2 is less gainy and a bit loose.

I notice this way more when I'm playing ch2 with lots of gain.

anybody else niticed this?

I want to say it's normal. My SLO does it, we call it channel bleed, it's just the way it's designed, something with the LDR switching section...

Don't know for sure how the Einstein is built, but it's probably normal.

I also notice this. And it's funny because if you play a note in ch2 and meanwhile you switch between modes in ch1 you will hear suttle changes in the sound.
I think it's a great thing because there's a lot of people wanting less distortion.

And I think that ch2 get more "compressed" mostly. OF course more gainy, but I Feel it more compress when the switch is in mode 3

I agree. It would be nice, though perhaps not the most practical, if the switch worked on ch2 as well so you could get something other than high gain out of the channel.

it's "kind of cool" but at the same time, NOT cool if you wanna use mode 3 for cleans and ch2 for hi-gain. IT sucks knowing you can have a tighter/gainier ch2 if only the switch was in the mode 3 position.

Peter what do you say about this?

I definitely noticed this with my herbert too...

how did you note that on herbert, it has no mode-switches?

or do you mean that the +/- also affects other channels?

I think that mode1 for clean (it is the original clean) while playing 2nd channel for distortion is the best option.
It's a Wild amp and you can do almost everything since every mode can do clean sounds even channel 2 by adjusting the distortion. Or if you have a volume pedal the options... are infinit.
