Saw this on my local facebook. Someone here might want to check it out.
For what it's worth, I bought some gear from a guy that owned a studio there a few years ago. He was a rep for randall if i remember right. Joe something maybe.
Not sure if its the same guy though.
Should be an easy amp to confirm anyway.

Joe was indeed a rep for randall. Looks like the George lynch proto.

Yeah looks like the ‘Head Hunter ‘ proto.
Snag it!!

I thought the Headhunter wasn't actually "high gain"? But, that is indeed what it looks like. I believe they ended up using 6CA7's, and it did go into production. I suppose being the "prototype" has some coolness, but you can probably find a real-deal Headhunter cheaper.

I don't know, but the back certainly looks different.. The Headhunter has no FX loop.

That same amp/seller has been on Reverb, accompanied by a pretty good video review. Seems cool anyway.

Joe was the brand manager of Randall, not just a rep. It is a different, hand-wired proto by Mike. Just in a Lynch headshell.

Buy it then join the Fortin FB page and sell it for 2X the price.

It's a one-off JMP type high gain. It's Joe Delaney selling it. Pretty badass! Do want!

Is Joe gone from Randall? Man, they're slowly going downhill.

That sounds like more gain and saturation than the Headhunter had, at least from what I can remember
Its a cool amp, I think its worth 1500 all day. Kinda sad how that all turned out, I wish Mike all the success in the world in his endeavors, he is an amp God and a really nice guy.
My dealings with him have been amazing every time, and Ive probably had more than most. I wish he still posted in here :aww:

His guitar is bright sounding when he is using a drop D or lower tuning? lol. i bet the amp is crazy bright and it not the guitar. Honestly, i get why they never made it production, sounds kinda shitty to me.

It’s not a Headhunter proto... It’s something else Mike was working on that never made it to production...

Yes, as duly noted above.

FWIW, this amp was listed pretty quickly on Dallas Craigslist after it was bought from the original seller.

I had the same thoughts about the brightness of the amp. Still, I’d like to check it out.

Wonder if Joe moved, or it sold? Wasn't the original price $1500? Atleast, if it was sold, buyer isn't asking $4,000.

Hahah I saw it in the local Craigslist also.
That headshell is just fuggly though.
I’d def have to play that one before taking a chance on it.
