Iron Maiden, Number of the Beast solo...

What effect is Dave Murray using on his Number of the Beast solo? Sounds real subtle, but there - kinda warbles a little bit. I was thinking chorus, but I've never really heard a chorus pedal sound quite like that.
 
Yeah, I hear the wah, but it sounds like a tad bit of modulation too, maybe it's just his technique.

EDIT: The other effect you're hearing is probably him using the whammy bar.

yup, that's it! I checked some other live recordings and they didn't sound like the studio cut, that one's pretty much dead on!

I don't know man, that sounds like the "essence" of the effect to me. On the original it sounds like an effect Brian May would use or something like that. That's awesome the vox are on that backing track - jamming with Bruce!

I'm not sure what you mean, but all the tracks on that tune I posted are re-done. The guy singing is "drucifer" from this forum. Smoking singer!

Holy Crap, I thought for sure that was a vocal somehow lifted off a Maiden album!!!!!!

Back to back they're quite different but Drew's got that thing going on where you could be fooled without a side-by-side comparison.
