A few years ago, a cousin of mine died and my parent's went to his funeral. After they kinda gave out his stuff to family members, my dad came home with his Peavy Vypyr combo amp and his Epi. It's nothing fancy, but it's in fantastic shape. I did polish the frets, adjust the intonation, and restring it for him like 3 years ago for him to kinda start playing again, but he never took off. It's just been sitting in the corner.
About a year ago I guess, he asked his sister if it was ok if he gave the stuff to me since he never played it and she was fine. So now, I inherited his 2018 Epi LP Standard Pro with what I'd call a cherry burst flame top. It's the typical LP with push pull pots on the volume, mahogany, maple, laurel board, and their ProBucker pickups. It plays decently. No sharp fret edges, no real dead spots or notes I've noticed. It's just a little harder to play these 10s when I'm used to 9s, but I also haven't really played in like 3 or 4 months. It seems to have a decently cut nut too, as I haven't heard any of the higher strings popping when tuning or detuning.
Anyways, is this guitar worth throwing a hotrodded bridge/tail piece into, upgrading the pickups to some Duncans I've got laying around, or maybe buying some other pickups I've never tried before? I have like a million other guitars, all higher end Warmoths, Warriors, Chubtone, Washburn, etc but hey....it's a free guitar in great shape.
