If so what brand and how do you have it hooked up? Between the pre and power amp? I have a rack mount MXR smart gate pro and it kills the tone badly with the pre/power amp. But it works perfectly thru the fx loops of two heads.

I am and the ISP decimator is the way to go. its the only noise reduction unit ive played that pretty much keeps tone sucking to a minimal
