To play a Herbert outside of it's case (so the circuitboard is exposed to the cabinet it is sitting on as opposed to the metal sheet on the bottom of the shell)?

I say this because I'm having my grill sprayed green again so the shell is in pieces but there's suddenly extremely low volume of sound on my amp, no fuses blown and no 'dead tube' lights showing up. Any ideas guys?

To anyone reading this new to Diezel this is very rare and you only see problems on this forum/when people want help in general. This amp utterly rules and I'm sure I'll have it for the rest of my life  Cheers!

Just make sure that nothing from the inside touches anything "metal" - so if the chassis is placed onto the tolex (which is an isolator/insulated) of your cab, you're fine.

The metal plate inside the headshell shields the amp against interference from other sources, so you may hear some more "noise" . . .

Check cables (first) and (then) preamp tubes.
