Is the Revv noise gate a better noise gate than the old ISP Decimator II pedal?

I noticed Michael Nielsen using a Revv noise gate pedal the other day. I was never satisfied with the performance of my old ISP Decimator pedal and I am curious about these Revv noise gate pedals. Are they any good?

I have Decimator ii g string, Revv G8, Fortin Zuul+. My favorite is Zuul+ then G8 and Decimator. Hold and release knob on Zuul+ and G8 are pretty useful when making tone what I want.

I love my G8 and had a Sentry and Decimator and love the G8. It is one of those pedals that doesn't need a lot of knob turning but does a great job.

I picked up a Zuul+ a few weeks ago.
I have less of a opinion now than ever. I think it has more to do with how you play and what your trying to do.

The Decimator II is the only gate pedal I've ever owned, or used. I don't find it sucks tone at all, but I haven't had anything to compare it to.

My Decimator pedal always seemed a little sluggish on the attack and release of the gating. The Revv G8 seems to be a little quicker and cleaner and the price seemed right for the performance since I might be wanting to replace the ISP.

Thanks for the input! It is appreciated!:2thumbsup:

The speed was exactly why I was looking at the Zuul+ and Revv G8. The Zuul+ had a few extra features I wanted. But both can do the more modern Djent type gating.

Once you adjust it to how you play it is pretty accurate.
I also found I don't need a gate most of the time. The way I play it just isn't necessarily most of the time.

Oh yeah man, no problem! Yeah the Revv does such a good job that I barely touch it. I've learned to have some noise.
