Is this a good deal ( Voodoo modded 6506+ context)?

Depending on what mod, and the amp WORKS fine, then yeah.. The cheapest mod they do is 60 or so bucks just for a bias mod. If you want a 6505+.. ask if it's made in USA.. they are 999.99 for a new MIC now.

voodoo has a HUGE range of mods....you would prob want to know what was actually done to it, all i see is a voodoo sticker, which could mean lots of things... that being said i have seen some AMAZING videos of what Trace does to 6505's... saw one that sounded like a baddass modded marshall. just sent trace my Uber...

called and got the sn# and emailed voodoo....we shall see....

Thanks guys; I will probably check it out this weekend

VooDoo verify never worked for the Mesa I had done. I would just call them. They're super cool people to deal with.

i emailed them, they were already closed when i tried to call...I'll post what they say on here...

Odd - I've owned 5 modded amps from them (currently own 2) and found them all on there.

...but yes they are very cool to work with.

Voodoo Verify - Is a free online searchable database hosted on a server off-site, IE: not at our facility. Please let me preface this by saying I am by no means a computer guru (lol) I spend all my time with tube amps so please forgive me if my computer terminology is not accurate (computer specialists every where are ducking--lol). Going back circa 5 years ago we experienced a system crash. We hired a company to come in & recover the data. They were able to recover approximately 90% of the information & installed a new backup system with redundancies. The good news at the time was that this was internal & did not effect Voodoo Verify.

A few weeks after that; We had issues with our website that lasted 3+ months. I will spare you all the pain stacking details but 'GoDaddy' had an issue with a section of severs & as a result our website was not backed up daily & as a result the backup they were able to use was over 4 months old. Naturally we were beside ourselves as we had been creating new pages & updating the website daily for months up to this point & unfortunately much of that work was lost.

At the time we called several companies on a quest to move away from GoDaddy & it soon became clear that GoDaddy owned much of the market share so there was little we could do. To make a long story short, this forced us to go through every page of our site to determine what was lost & then compile a lengthy list & thus begin the journey of re-creating all those pages that were lost. The reason I mention this is Voodoo Verify was also effected & as such there are entries that may not come up when you search them. My apologies if this sounds frustrated but needless to say its been a long arduous task that is still on going as we all wear many hats here.

If your amp is not listed on Voodoo Verify
you can provide us with the following info, which will allows us to search our systems;

1 - Serial Number, exactly as it appears in the amp as well as the make & model. IE: Marshall JCM800 2203
2 - Invoice Number - All invoices have this
3 - First & Last name of person who had the work performed
4 - Orders dating back 14+ years ago; We placed a 'Tag ID# on the side of the chassis. This usually contained the customer's first/last name & our logo.

We will upload it as soon as we can for you. Please email this info to us through our website via the contact page.

With respect;
Trace Davis, President / Founder
