Is this a safe mismatch for Diezel amps?

Hi all,

I have a 32OHM 2x12 Cab (2 - 16 OHM speakers in series). I've used this in the past with some amps to cut some of the power when running into the 16OHM jack of an amp.

Most modern amps seem to do ok with this but before trying it out, I thought I'd verify from some of you knowledgable folk, or Peter himself.

So again is: 16OHM Head into a 32OHM Cab an okay mismatch for Diezel amps?

The OT in my DMOLL looks huge so I would assume it's ok, but assuming is for idiots.

Bump.. any help would be appreciated. Killing me not to try the amp out.

I cannot help you, but I promise it will be best to wait for Peter. He always gets back to me either the same night, middle of the night (I am in US he is in Germany) or following morning :)

A few hours wait might save your expensive amp from damage.

I was pretty exhausted when I replied last night and forgot to mention, sometimes Peter is not on here for a couple of days at a time and so you may get a faster reply if you email him.

No worries,

I ended up turning the cab to Parallel tonight which made it 8 ohms. I figure if I want to mistmatch it, I can go from 4 OHMs on the Amp to 8 OHMs on the Cab.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to plug in the DMOLL yet!! Tomorrow will be a good day:)
