I'm getting ready to build my first amp, the Mojotone British 50 1978 version. I've been reading everything I can on it and some are saying they put the bias after the standby switch which is a big problem. I guess the fix is to always leave the standby switch on. Mojotone copied this straight from the 1978 JMP and Marshall used this for years before changing. Should I rewire this or not worry about it?
I guess this 160K resistor feeding the Bias should be connected to the lug of the standby where the red wire is? If I need to rewire should I just connect the 160K straight to the lug of the standby with the sloppy red arrow pointing to it and then connecting that wire to the negative side turret of the 1N4007?
