ISP decimator pro rack G - powering it?

After receiving good advice on here, I ended up buying the ISP deimcator pro rack G.

However, unlike most rack units which are powered off the 13amp IEC cables (in the uk anyway), which I can power from my power conditioner, the decimator runs off a 9v adaptor (as provided).

Now, boss pedals etc are 9v and are powered by the likes of a voodoo labs pedal power... but what I want to know is can I run the decimator from my pedal power?

I don't know I am being either overly cautious or a complete idiot for asking, so any help would be appreciated!

Also, how do UK users power your decimators?

Thanks.

Somewhere in the manual or even on the unit itself there should be a power consumption info. As the Pedal Power II provides 200 mA max per output (on the L6 outs), you should check how many mA the Decimator needs. If it exceeds 200 mA, you can't power it with the PP.
Not sure about the power rating of the courtesy output on the other side of the PP. Check it out.

the ISP Decimator prorackG uses 9V AC, so you must NOT connect it to the Pedal Power 2 Plus (which provides DC only)
I just finished my rack, into which I put both a PP2Plus for my effects pedals, and also a Pedal Power AC, to power both my GCX and the Decimator. The Decimator is specified to have a high-current draw, so I connected it to the 1200mA output of the PPAC.
If you search the rig-talk forums for my thread, you can see pics of my rack.
It is not strictly necessary to use a PPAC, cheapest solution would be to get a powerstrip and use the standard power supply that comes with the Decimator, but I myself didn't want to have lots of "wall-warts" hanging inside the rack so hence I got the PPAC.

good luck! The Decimator ProRackG rocks

It is correct that Rune states above about the currents in relation to power consumption, but by 5 years experience I can say that go ahead and plug it in the PedalPower AC power supply. I have had quite a lot of other rack stuff (pedals, processors, etc.) connected to the PP AC simultaneously as the Decimator and yet have not faced a single problem.

I think you misread his/my post, he's saying he has a pedal power for boss effects (which then presumably is the DC version, PP 2 Plus), so that is what he cannot use. My statement about the current draw of the Decimator was only slightly besides the important point, which is that ISP Decimator needs AC power and his existing supply is DC only.

i use a separated power supply cause of its high consumption.

You are absolutely right, Thanks.

The current draw should not be an issue here.
