I was sick of GREEN boxes, so I hand painted (I'm not Picasso) a Bad Monkey to be a "Psycho Chimp". It once had a plastic painted plate over the Digitech logo.
Guys were telling me at gigs "that thing sounds GREAT!! What is it?".
I started saying that it was built by a guy in Sweden who invented the Amana Radar Range in 1964 and he uses NOS Amana parts inside.
I told them he had a 10 month wait and they cost $700 BUT I could get them a deal.
That often led to a stunned silence where I would say "It's Digitech pedal I got at Guitar Center for forty bucks".
