They have really made some great improvements with this amp!! The red channel is SOOOO much better then before, the blue channel needs some volume to come around but it's got that bark I love and the clean is much better then before. I've only played it for about an hour but I'm REALLY diggin it so far!! Mr Bogner did a great job on this amp!!

I'm loving this amp more every time I play it. I hooked my G-Major II up to the amp and the sounds with reverb and delay just come out so perfect!! Some chorus and reverb on the green channel is also just awesome!!!!! Really happy I bought this amp.

Cool, the amp is far away my favorite Bogner. Let us know how you make out with tube changes. I've got a couple extra quads of =C='s I've been meaning to try out in mine, too.

Have you had a chance to crank plexi mode yet? I think it's much improved as well...plus you can boost it now.

Winged C's are really nice in this amp. Watch your presence settings to avoid that harshness you mentioned. I am surprised at how low I turn the presence down sometimes, depending on the room I am playing.
What speakers are you using? Bogner amps love Bogner cabs.

I will let you know se7en, and yes I dig the Plexi also, the boost really helps it.

I have a Bogner OS 2-12 with vin 30's that I'm not using because the V-30's sound harsh. I'm playing through a 70's Marshall cab with creambacks that I like alot more.

Congrats! Do you have the 6l6 or El34 version?
Its the EL34. I am loving this thing more every time I play it.

Greg, do you find that top end brightness to be controllable? Have you cranked it up loud with a drummer/band? The 20th X is one of my dream amps! Just wondering if the top end sounds harsh in a band mix, and how it cuts...

I have become a Greenback lover, when the amp gets played at a good volume just like any amp it comes alive! It's not bright by any means. I wish ya lived close to me because I'd love for you to check this one out, I still am really loving it. By far this XTC blows the others away!!!!!

It's a killer, killer amp. I mean, I've had mine now for going on to year No.2 and I'm still finding new tones out of it. I took the advice of a fellow RT forumite and threw some Gold Lion KT77s into mine. Never going back - they're the shiznit!! Lots more colour, zing and punch - and really, really bouncy notes.

Anyway, regardless of the power tube selection and the like, mega congrats on a mega wicked amp

I hear ya, Ive been play Ch. 2 in plexi boosted and just love it!!!!

It's got everything, really. I mean, you can conjure practically all the usual, tasty Bognerite tones out of it, no sweat. Then, with all the power trimming capabilities, you can really get it to push itself hard. After this, we've got the excursion switches, the boost, the vintage/modern, the power class...the list is almost endless as to tasty combinations. And all of them - ALL of them - sound simply awesome.

It's not a simple amp - there's a lot to discover with this head and the tonal flavours are abundant. I like it as it's almost like a top-drawer Bogner that has all these mod-capabilities to it. It's awesome.

Anyway, no hijack here, just super stoked you're loving your 20thA

I love this setting. Sometimes I'll run it in Class A, too which is a lot of fun for more classic Plexi tones.

I'll have to give that a shot.
