man, this guitar is beautiful! sound AMAZIN...I've never played through EMG81 before, (my Strat has an 85) and I LOVE THEM....their SOOO tight! :D

nah, I don't think you're old...... it's a matter of taste, I love how my strat and my goldtop sound with my Einstein......I think Diezels really like Passives, but there's something about EMGs that I like for heavy stuff....they're quiet, tight.....and look cool :P

I REALLY want a guitar with high output passives..... I'm thinking about maybe later swapping the EMG setup in my blue strat and getting an S/S/HB with a passive bucker..... or even better an S/S/S with one of those "single coil humbuckers.... would be cool.
 
congas! How is the quality and tones in person man? I ask as when they first came out they were horrible, but a lot of the other edwards models I heard are slammin, so wondering if they go their act together and now the edwards explorer is finally up to par ;)
 
well I like it A LOT..... to me the quality is AWESOME
