I just got one of these in a trade/sale. It's inferno Red. I put it on Craigslist for 350$ with hard case. Wondering if some people on here with experience with these guitars can chime in on whether or not that is a good deal. It's in killer condition and the previous owner said that he thinks it's a 2002 or so. I am hoping to sell it fast. But on the chance that it does not sell , is it a killer guitar or just kind of ok? I know it has just the liscensed for Jackson Floyd not an original Floyd. thanks.

i just paid 385 for a white one on ebay recently with a set of dimarzio evolution pickups. i would think your guitar should sell pretty quick at 350. every dk2m i have played in the past has been a killer playing guitar. they retailed anywhere from 750-900 depending on finish from what i remember.

Eh..... but i'm kind of a Jackson snob. Never been too impressed with the bolt on guitars, especially the stock electronics, but I will say the 90's pro guitars truly are basically as good as the USA select series. I can see why Jackson shut the Japs down on that model. I love mine.

That price is in the ball park. Does it have duncan designed or real duncan pickups? They came with one or the other depending on year. Great necks IMHO, good players, the licensed floyd is fine when set up right. Good guitar.

Nice. I had one similar in blue. Great playing guitar, finish work was really good. For $350 it's a hell of a guitar, but they don't command a whole lot more unless it's one of the cool finishes like skulls or hot rod flames.

I don´t think the DK2M was out in 2002, it´s probably a bit newer than that. 2005, maybe?

I think that the 97 only designates it as being japanese, IIRC.

In that case do you know which numbers indicate the year by chance?

I think they just went sequentially from 9600001 when they started the current Pro line, and they´re not further along than 98 something today. I don´t think there are any charts year-by-year. But the DK2M is a fairly recent model, in any case... 2005/06 and onward, or something along those lines.
