Jackson stealth-launches the Pure Metal range – a trio of limited edition single-pickup shred machines

Jackson releases a pure metal lineup? Well, to be frank, I've never seen anyone take any Jackson ever into a jazz gig. Pure metal lineup is basically redundant.
Keelhaul

That dude played a Jackson, and they were some jazzy bullshit.

I miss that band.

John Mayer had that pink Jackson he jammed with Bob Weir, before they formed Dead and Co.
Thats a little jazzy...

The majority of Jackson's Pro Plus line (if not all by now) are made in China at the Yako factory (squier affinity/bullet) for some reason while the less expensive X and Pro series are Cort/Samick Indonesia and/or Ensenada Mexico for the latter. It's weird to me and has kept me from buying one. Otherwise they have some cool models in that line.

well damn, its a good time to like single humbuckers between these and the new LTD's, i just cant deal with floyds though

Yeah, I'm not thrilled with the shift to China for the Pro Series. They look nice, but I've yet to see a Chinese guitar with good fretwork.

Floyd feels so good though. Even if you don't use them, I personally can play significantly faster on a Floyd vs. a T.O.M. when recording to a metronome. It's just super tight for me. I like hipshot, too though.

I'd need to see these Jacksons in person, idk why but I can't get into chrome hardware.

There are some things we're forced to buy if we want to partake that are MIC.
Fortunately, at least for the time being, guitars aren't one of them.
I see MIC FMIC guitars (Squiers, Jacksons, Gretsch, etc..) being heavily discounted more than any others.
So, hopefully they'll get a clue sooner than later.

I can control the amount of “chung” much better on palm mutes if that makes any sense with a TOM, I grew up playing them so that probably has everything to do with it
