This looks super dope for any guitarist who uses a Midi controller for other instruments to record with. Just randomly stumbled on the video and first time seeing it.

Maybe a little pricy idk but definitely cool and would beat programming by a mile.

Seems cool, I bought the Fishman TriplePlay a few years ago. Similar concept by mounting a little midi pickup bar between the bridge and bridge pickup. But it never tracked well, it was more frustrating than useful. I was very disappointed.

Looks like they have an updated version so maybe it’s improved or maybe I was doing it wrong.

This would be even better, assuming it works. Much more reasonable attaching it and being able to remove it from your existing guitar vs spending $1k+ on the jamstik.

I've used the Roland GK and guitar synths for years. I think you're better off with the Roland system; if you want a guitar synth, look at the SY-300 - you don't need a GK pickup; if you want more capabilities for guitar / stringed instruments the SY-1000 is worth a look, and you'll need a GK-3 pickup.

If you want to do guitar controlled synths, that would be the new GK-5 pickup and GM-800 - which will give you more keys, synths, and sounds similar to a keyboard based synth.

I own the SY-300 and SY-1000; since I have synths, organs, pianos, etc., I just use keyboards, so the GK-5 + GM-800 aren't needed.

and now with MPE keyboards and software, I really don't need a guitar for expressiveness, as I have keyboards that can do that now...and expect more keyboards to support MPE, poly aftertouch, etc.

Bump. Not exactly a necro bump, but this thread is indeed a few months old. Has anyone gotten one of these? I found myself composing in the MIDI grid recently and wound up putting one of my songs in Logic using the grid. It was workable, but overall a pain in the ass. I did this to create a score of one of my pieces. It would be cool to essentially play it with the Jamstik and have the MIDI grid get written for me.

Has anyone used one of these recently?
