Jap strats….

Curious as to years and brands to look for. Any specific models or recommendations? I know Greco has a few but I’m only familiar with what to look for with les pauls…local guy has a Japanese squire with lace sensor golds at a fair price. Been happy with my Greco Sykes so I know The Japanese make some fine guitars . Anyway just curious. These discussions usually only focus on the Les Paul or shredder types and never really delve into the fender copies…

I've been thinking of getting a late seventies Tokai Silver Star strat made of Japanese Sen wood. Same wood species as EVH's and Chris Holmes's 1975 Ibanez Destroyers.

Fender made in Japan are great and can find some good prices on them too.

I had a Fender Japan Jaguar, fit, finish, quality, etc., were every bit as good as my USA Marr Jaguar (both are sold now though, still have a MIM Jag)
