Thanks y'all (I'm from Texas of course). One last question; I've heard that the Herbert will do the JCM 800 sound pretty dead on. What settings you think best emulate this tone? Thanks again for your help!

- mode channel 2, pots noon, presence cranked, gain 40-50% depending on your axe.

You can get close, but nothing but a Plexi can really cop true Plexi tones.

I'm thinking about offing my Einstein for one. A gunned Plexi type amp is just the absolute pinnacle as far as I'm concerned.

well you know, niot exactly a carbon copy.....but how can I make my VH4 sound as marshally as it can?

I know the VH4 is the most marshall-like out of them all....but how can I make those tonal qualities excel?

just for recording purposes.....

Hello
Nobody for a JCM 800 tone, On an Einstein (EL34) ?
Thanks.

Ch1/Texas Mode, Gain a bit up (70-75%), crank the presence

Thanks.
Very similar to the settings I use for this kind of tone.

In fact, I've just discovered that the tone of the Einstein was much better when the channel volume is cranked rather than the master.
I used to do the opposite, and my sound was a little fizzy and thin.
Now my sound is even more juicy than before.
The more I use the einstein, the more I like it.
