Jeff/Bruce/Whoever - Tell me about the Renegade vs Rebel?

I own a Rebel 20, and it's absolutely gorgeous. Really really wonderful (and I play gainy sleaze metal!), but I'd love a clean channel too.

Is the Rebel 30 the same as the Rebel 20, but with an extra channel? Are the 2 channels exactly the same, or is one cleaner than the other?

Any progress on the head version?

As for the Renegade, how do they compare? Totally different beasts? Is the Renegade gainier?

Tell me as much as you can!

The 30 is different. There is more gain on tap due to the 2 channels. It is more aggressive than the 20. The clean channel has more headroom and is more fendery in nature, again due to being 2 channel. The first head from pre production landed in our shop yesterday and it flew threw testing and looks great!

Renegade is a completely different beast due to the 6l6 and 34's . Its a bassman type tone on the clean and a hybred of the Seminar amp, EG3/4 and SL2. It is a really really killer head for the money!
 
From what I recall playing them at NAMM, yes, the Renegage 50 is gainier than the Rebel30, for sure.

Any idea when the Renegade heads will be in UK? The only place I know that does them is "out of stock", I don't think they've had them in.

Unless for some bizarre reason anyone on this forum has one and doesn't like it, and wants to sell it to me!

hey man, thomann already has the Renegade head/combos listed up. You have to wait till the 3rd week of sept. for them to ship it though. Get it! :D
 
The Renegade and E2 (cod or Vox+SL2X)are on my "wish list" !As soon as i can find them...

Hey Jeff,

Did you guys change anything for the rebel 30 head ,or is it exactly the same just in a headshell ?
