amazing player, have always loved his playing in Nevermore, saw them when they had Broderick as well years ago, very impressive

Epic level guitar hero!! He plays with such unbridled aggression, god I love it!!

Jeff writes killer songs in addition to being a top notch lead player.

Funny you bring him up now. I actually just got back into Nevermore after not listening for like 4 years. Hard to listen to those vocals all day though :\

One of the finest...and possibly the best I've ever heard a 7 string used. Still waiting for that Nevermore reunion, if they grabbed Broderick again too that would be killer, never did get a studio album with both of them.

agreed and I think that part is often overlooked
Throw a dart and you can find outrageous skill, but very few create original music that is on the same level

I saw Sanctuary 2 or 3 years ago ( I actually love the singer!); I would jump to see Nevermore with Loomis and Broderick. That would be so awesome

Only recently discovered him when youtube 'randomly' played a demo video of his after looking at Mayones videos. Holy shit what a player!

I'm not a fan of Nevermore (HATE the singing), but I love Loomis' playing! His solo project he did was amazing...

That's the worst Nevermore album hands down. If you want to get more into his playing get This Godless Endeavor or Dead Heart in a Dead World.

Also it didn't really sound like there will ever be a Nevermore reunion at the time of split. Sounded like Jeff and Van were sick of dealing with Warrel's alcoholism.

Agreed on that. Don't forget Enemies of Reality!

EOR was my first Nevermore album, and while I love it many others seemed not to. The original Kelly Gray mix ruined it for a lot of people, but I actually prefer it to the Sneap mix since I blasted the shit out of that cd before I even knew that people thought the mix sucked and it got a remix rerelease.

Yup, big fan here man. Lead wise, he is tops. Rhythms too, but combine him with Keith Merrow and.....

You get the point, he is a monster player.

I don't think there will be and I don't think any of the members mind that. Jeff is busy with his own projects and being a member of Arch Enemy. Van's wife is still dealing with cancer and I am pretty sure they are in New York now, plus he has projects going on as well. Warrel has Sanctuary and his own solo project. Jim has health issues and I don't think he is doing anything

 As as long we have guys out there like Jeff, the future of rock guitar is bright.

Loomis destroys...Seen him 3X and he rocked it. One of the best metal guitarists out there today and one of my favorites. Hopefully the new Arch Enemy stuff with him will kick ass!!!

Everything from Dead Heart to Obsidian is epic IMO!!!

Terrible audio but you get the idea. I always loved this clip. My hell...those arpeggios at the end from This Godless Endeavor!!!

Have been following Loomis since the beginning. Loved Nevermore when they first came out. Dead Heart in a Dead Worlds my favorite still.
