I have no history with bogners at all so I need some help. Without going the Fish preamp route, what's the best bogner amp to get a good Jerry Cantrell rhythm tone ala facelift/dirt? I am wondering if an Uberschall could be eq'd or tweaked to get close. Anyone have any luck with that? Thanks.

I really like my 101b for Alice in Chains stuff. Tonal heaven for me.

Jerry just receive 2 of the new fishes. But he is really digging the Uber right now. I wonder how a Bogner Jerry Cantrell signiture amp would do?

Sorry I didnt even asnswer your question.

Yes with the Uber u can get in the ball park. If u have a Uber, ill send u some settings when I get a chance to play around w the Uber I have at the shop

Well, I don't have an uber yet. A used one might be the most cost-effective option for getting close to the tone. I read somewhere else that there was a signature amp in the works. Can you confirm that? If so, what's the timeframe?

I wouldn't mind checking out those settings if you don't mind. What revision is he using?

I can neither confirm nor deny of a Jerry Cantrell signature;)

Oh yeah...no doubt. My LP on the blue channel with the gain at around 2:30 nails AIC

I have an Ecstasy and Fish. The blue channel can get pretty close, although the Fish has more of a liquid lead tone going on.

I would the think the XTC is what you're looking for. I have an older AIC clip I did with my old XTC (pre '04) here. Not great but......

Yep, that's it. The only reason I'm leaning toward an uberschall is for the added gain when I want to get full-on metal...

Added gain truly shouldn't be the reason you choose an Uberschall over an Ecstasy. The red channel has plenty of gain. If you want a more aggressive voicing then go Uberschall. If you need versatility and great hard rock tones/albeit smoother, go Ecstasy.

Nice! Blue channel, I'm guessing? Do you know what brightness setting you used and which cabinet? I'd use a little more gain, but that's a great sound! I like that it's a bit darker than the original.

Would the Alchemist get in this neighborhood? I need to go try one if so.

Aloha, Rob

hey

I havent spent alot of time with the Alchemist. And I didnt try and do the Alice thing when I played one.
