Jimi

I really love the band of Gypsy’s stuff. I also believe Billy cox is from West Virginia as well, and bill withers. Kinda funny as WV is like 96% white…lol. Anyway check out this guy’s take on who knows…I thought it was really cool..

I love Jimi!!! I almost got a Jimi tattoo when I was in the military. I love his early hippy period more than the later, afro and robe period. The guy was so amazing and people don't realize how great his songs were, separate from the hits.

I really love "Ain't No Telling", "Axis Bold As Love", etc.

I love Jimi too. Are You Experienced was the first tape I ever had.. Used to cover most of that whole album back in the late 90's along with other Hendrix material. I hung those songs up when every band started doing Voodoo Child and Little Wing. If I never heard LW again it would be ok. After many years of no Hendrix the Hendrix I'm putting into rotation is this one:

I love all his stuff ..... but this one ... is probably my favorite

Jimi fluid playing style makes it look effortless; much like EVH did several years later.

I appreciate them both.

However, Allan Holdsworth is on another level.

IMO

Jimi connects with the songwriting.
so does EVH, and Holdsworth, and many others.

fusion isn't a music style that's readily appreciated by non-musicians, similar to modern jazz and even classical. I've driven more than a few girlfriends crazy with Bach for example.
