I put these in my MOD50 yesterday as they were looking lonely in my box full of 10+ power tube sets...

Biased up to 20mV.....what a great sounding tube, seemingly especially so at low volumes. I had the rig at kid asleep upstairs playing level and it sounded great...granted I tend to use the Hotplate too since I think one more o'clock on the master with 8dB pad sounds better than the master extremely low.

It might not hold up or do what you want at gig volumes though, but since I don't need that

Anyone else rocking the 6V6?

I was using 'em in my RM50 for quite a while... as an old Deluxe Reverb player, there's just something great about the "feel" of 6V6's.

Now my RM50's on ebay, haven't figured out what to do with the 6V6's yet... thought about putting them in the RM100 and doing a mixed quad with 5881's, only because I only own two 6V6's.

Eh, no biggie actually (even though I'm a bit emotionally attached to the Palomino finish)... I ended up getting a hella good deal on an RM100 (and am on the wait list for the dual channel upgrade), so decided to let go of the RM50. So I've still got the M4, JTM45 head, a couple Randall/Rocktron 4x12's, and now an RM100... more Egnater-inspired gear than I know what to do with.
