Okay, me and my buddy have been discussing this. Whats with the JMP head sizes?

Some are similiar to the JCM sized box

others are smaller.

Specifically the master volume JMP.. I know the Nonmaster volume 2204(1987) was a small box.

2204 is a 50 watt master vol., and the headbox is the same as a plexi (roughly).

You might be thinking of the JTM45 which is for sure smaller than the JMP/Plexi head.

No its a 77-78 JMP 2204, but its the same size as an 87x

Only found a couple of pics of master volume JMP in a small box.

Just trying to see wtf is going on with these

There were some greenish JMP2204-S models with the smaller headshell.

That small one looks like a plexi headshell with a large marshall logo. Not really a JMP headshell. Just a JMP 50 watt amp in a small box. Looks killer. I love the smaller ones.

the late 60's pre-JMP real 50w plexis and the reissues have the small headshell

I have a '73 JMP Lead, and it has the regular big shell

yeah I was thinking Plexi headshell, especially with the gold piping. I didnt know if the 2204 came in the small box like the 1987(both 50 watts) at one point or not.

I like the smaller ones too! Plus I got a great deal on it, Should be here in a few days!

Then the real question will be...too mod or not. And who to let do it!

My 78 2204 JMP is the same size as my 71 superlead (or very, very close).
