and it's a big 'meh'
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad pedal at all but i'm just not floored by it...at least immediately anyway.

i used to have a Boss CE-5 and i didn't like that pedal very much so i figured this would be a lot better because like most voodoo lab products they just rule, period.

it sounds great for use with clean tones but when i use it for soloing with distortion it just doesn't seem to thrilling. I really would like to get a soloing tone similar to the solo in 'Bark at the Moon'.

right now i'm using it into my GCX audio switcher in the effects loop of my Powerball. Should i run it out front for better results? any setting suggestions to try to get that kind of solo effect??

I use mine up front, I think it works very well. I like it better than the MXR stereo chorus pedal. I set the intensity at about 2:00 and speed at around 10:00 - and just wail away  I think it's perfect. Try running it in front rather than using the loop. (when I want even more drama for the leads I use the MXR EVH Phaser instead.)

awesome guys! i will definitely try it out front :)
thanks!!

I've never been a fan of chorus or any other modulation effect in the loop :scared:

I agree with trying it out front, I use my mod effects out front(even my L6 mod pro rack). Its a more dramatic effect that way if that's what you're after.

yeah, i'm definitely looking for a dramatic change out of the pedal so i'll definitely be trying it out front now

In front of a distorted amp, chorus doesnt really work well. People do it but its not like putting a phase shifter, Vibe or even flange in front of distortion.

I couldn't disagree more...lol. It sounds way to hi-fi in the loop IMO
