Just have to give a big thumbs up to Egnater

With any forum like this, it is only natural to read about the problems people are having. Well, I just have to take the time to give a big thank you to Mr. Bruce Egnater.

I too was having a problem with my Rebel 20 head. I do understand that there is not an amp manufacturer out there that doesn't have problems with some of their units. That's just the way it is. Any time you mass produce a product, there are a certain number that will inherently have problems. I can accept that.

I can not imagine how busy the Egnater team is. I posted on the board about the problem I was having and it wasn't long before Bruce took the time to reply himself. Now how often do you get that from companies today?

Bruce asked me to email him directly, and after a couple days of emails and running tests on the amp, he come to a conclusion on what he thought was my problem. Ended up being a filter capacitor went bad. It happens.

Bruce asked me if the amp was under warranty (which it was) but I told him that after him figuring out what the problem was, that I could fix the amp myself. No sense in having them do something that I could do myself.

Guess what? Bruce even sent me the part.

I guess what I'm trying to get at here is that it kind of saddens me to see all of the customer service complaints on here. Guys, realize how busy the Egnater team must be and give them time to get to you. Do some research in the meantime so you can help them help you. It is very difficult for them to try to diagnose a problem over the internet.

I am more than pleased with my amp. You can not find an amp with the tone this thing has at this price point. After the great customer service experience and talking with Mr. Bruce Egnater through emails, the time he was willing to spend to help someone out, it's Egnater Amplification for me from now on.

Nice - good to hear about that kind of support - I've got a Mod50 and anytime I need something from Bruce I get all the feedback I need from him too, dude emailed me on route to going on his holiday!!!
 
Ditto from. I have 2 Renegade's, the 112 combo and the head w/212 tourmaster. Both are great. Response to issues I have had has been great too!
