WOW! Everyone talks about channel 3, but man, channel 4 was insane!! In the past I've owned a Herbert and an Einstein. The Einstein I owned the longest out of any amp I have ever owned. If there was a channel 4 preamp, I would snatch that up in a second. I need to go back with my own guitar to try the VH-4 again, because I played it with a crappy guitar the first time and it was still amazing. Anyway, I am still floored over channel 4.

Out of all of Diezels amps, what channel is your favorite?

I play my sons mini Squire Strat though the VH4 and it KILLS. A $125 guitar made of plywood sounds like heaven
through the VH4.

My faves are Channel 2 then 3.

Favorite Diezel channel is Channel 3, VH4. I'm pretty sure that's the quintessential Diezel Tone.

When I had my VH4........I was always going back between channel 4 and 3. Mostly hung out on 3.

Channel 3 is my 1st Choice and place of most loitering
Channel 4 with gain rolled back, scooped, and bass heavy is my 2nd choice.
Channel 2 full gain, full mids, 9 o'clock on the treble, is my 3rd choice.

Still in looooove with channel 2 with the gain full up

Yeah, channel 2 is interesting. I run it with the gain and mids maxed. I play around with different levels of treble, but haven't found the perfect settings yet. It sounds a bit harsh at times on ch. 2.

I have to go back and play it again with a better guitar.

I have found that Channel 2 has a lot of surprises to it. Channel 3, ya ya, sure whatever, it IS Diezel in a nutshell and it DOES rock like none other, Channel 4 is a wild horse, takes a bit of reign pulling at times, but Channel 2, loaded with game IMHO. Lots of volume makes this channel ring and sing something fierce. Not a bedroom/living room volume channel, it needs open road to really kick.

My 2 cents.

Channel 3, with 4 close second.

But frankly the whole point (to my mind) of a 4 channel midi switching amp is that you don't have to have a favourite channel, you just stomp on your midi controller until you suit your mood.

I want to. I sold a bunch of things including my Splawn Nitro which you now want as partial trade. I wish I knew earler. Maybe I can swing it. I will have to see.

Espdna -- how do yo think the Nitro stacks up to the VH4? I'm thinking of selling my xtc and getting a nitro
