Just scored a new amp!

Found myself a Peavey Transtube Supreme for $150 shipped just now. I used to have one and loved it, especially for the price. Sounds pretty similar to a 5150 and I like it a lot more than a lot of other high dollar amps. Hopefully I'll have it by the weekend!

That's not an amp I can make any money off of. $150 or so is pretty much the price they always sell for. I just really like how it sounds.

I've have always thought Peavey's transtube stuff was the best sounding solid state amps I've played thru (excluding modelers).

The Transtube Supreme and Supreme 160 are both great metal amps IMO. Tough to beat them for $150.

The transtube supreme was my 1st real amp. Good for metal which I played back than. I used to really like the clean sound too when I first got it I had the matching 412M cab. When I sold it I thought the clean and mid gain tones left alot to be desired, but it was a good starting real amp.

I gotta say I don't miss mine at all. I paid $375 for it new in '97 and sold it for $275 in '00. not too bad.

I wouldn't really recommend it for anything but metal tones really. The clean is pretty good as well, but nothing amazing. I just think they sound really good for the stuff I play, and they're cheap as hell now.

Old school Peavey logo, my first amp was a Peavey Backstage Plus I bought back in '84 with that logo. I ended up painting it I think

Because the Pens rule too, and they actually have a chance this year. I think the Rams will be a lot better after their bye, but until they recover from all the injuries they have, it's gonna be tough for them. Their division is so terrible though, if they win next week they would only be 2 games behind Seattle.
