JVM series / parallel loop ?

This amp has my curiosity peeked. I was looking at the owner's manual and specificly at the series / parallel loop. How do you switch the loop between series and parallel? For instance, my Bogner has a button. Push the button one way and the loop is series push the other and its parallel.

I see there's a button for professional grade vs. guitar grade but I don't think that's the same thing...instead, that switch is for different levels.

It is serial/parallel depending on where the mix knob is set. Crank the knob all the way up and voila! you have a serial loop. With the mix anywhere else it is parallel.

OK, so where did you get this information. :?

there are two different loops on the amp. Its not a one or the other kinda thing.

OK, now I am confused...sorry for being so dense. I see from the owner's manual there is a series/parallel loop and there is also a power amp insert/series loop. I don't run my FXs parallel and always use a serial loop. How is this done in the JVM

The JVM has 2 effects loops.

1) a footswitchable Parallel/Series loop with level and mix controls.

2) a series loop.

So, does that mean if I want to run my FXs in a series loop I use the loop marked power amp insert/series? Also, does the footswitchable Parallel/Series loop switch between parallel and series or just loop on loop off? If its just loop on loop off, why is it labled parallel/series? Again, sorry for being so dense I'm just trying to figure out how I would run my FXs in a series only loop with the JVM.

Yeah, I saw this but I'm still not 100% certain about it. I guess it's the fact that there is a loop labeled Serial/Parallel FX loop and no clear way to select between the two (Series or Parallel.) Is it, as someone else stated, that turning the mix knob fully clockwise causes the loop to function as a Series loop?

Beat the hell out of me ahahaha!! Thats why I took the easy way out and gave you th elink to the manual!! :D

That said, you can try asking over at the JVM site and ask santiall (He might even see this thread and answer here)

I see santiall's response. What's he link to the JVM site?

if you want to run your effects in series you just have to turn the mix to 100% wet. Then the Series/Parallel loop becomes series.

You can also use the Power amp insert/series loop but that's a professional level loop only and cannot be switched like the other loop.

That's what I said in the first place!!

I am going to sell my TSL and go for it! Question though... is one loop better then the other? Serial or parallel?
