This is the best deal you're going to find on a new VH4. Brand new, bought late last month. It's got about 5 hours of playing time on it and is in flawless condition. I took it out of the box and moved it about four feet to the cab that it's on in the pic and hasn't moved. I absolutely love the head but I'm looking to scratch this itch of trying out a Diezel Hagen. I'm willing to trade straight up for your Hagen if it's in excellent condition, even though the VH4 is $500 more new, so it would be a great deal on your end. Once I try the Hagen, I'll either keep it or i'll sell it and buy another VH4 because this is an end of the line amp for me. I love it but I want to scratch this one other itch (isn't that what we all say?).

I haven't talked to many who have tried both. There aren't really any quality demos of it, at least for doing what I do. To me it just sounds like a more modern VH4, possibly with more aggressive sounding gain on channels 3 or 4. I wish I could have both!

The vh4 to me is a must for any collection . And a Herbert mk 1. I do like Hagen but they changed it too much . Vh4 is the only amp like Vh4. Even vh2 blows imo compared to a vh4 . My vh4 can be super agressive. Especially with a boost . What THE time you’re looking for ? Can you name a somg that’s close atleast?

No it's not really a tone i've heard before. I catch snippets of what I'm after in the Hagen demos though. And it's also somewhere in channel 4 of the VH4, but more modern and aggressive sounding. Basically a ridiculous amount of gain and definition that holds together in low tunings.
